The Common Thread For The Cure
This edition of our uphosltery catalog is dedicated to the Common Thread for the Cure Foundation and to the remarkable lady who founded it, Mrs. Suzann Burkhead-Bray.
Common Thread is a High Point, NC based, all volunteer (NO paid employees) charity which donates nearly 100% of it's funds to breast cancer victims and their families for all the host of expenses associated with the disease.
From travel expenses to groceries for the table; from help with insurance premiums to co-pay drug costs -even mortgage assistance.
Common Thread receives it's funding from the furniture industry and related companies like fabric and rug mills. The foundation reaches out to all people within our industry, employees, reps, managers, retail furniture people - All people.
We have developed a "ribbon" chair with the well-known ribbon loop in the outside back and a very special fabric and finish called "Nancy's Chair" to honor a very special friend of the company. Nancy Whitt is in the middle of the fight of her life and the recipient of the first chair.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the chair series will go to the Common Thread. These funds are both from the company and from our reps who volunteered to forfeit their commissions on these chairs.
